Job Title: Industrial Electrician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a heavy industrial environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, performing preventative maintenance, interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints, and maintaining safe operations throughout the facility.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, motors, controls, and plant systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical issues and make repairs to improve equipment reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Follow all safety regulations, including MSHA standards.
• Assist with electrical installations and other maintenance duties as needed.

• 3-5 years of industrial or construction electrical experience preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, electrical theory, and motor controls.
• Experience using electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and overtime as needed.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with high voltage systems.
• Mechanical skills related to electrical work.

The role is set in a heavy industrial environment with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with one to two Saturdays a month on a rotating basis. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
