You will supervise preparation of bidder lists, review bids for accuracy, and recommend bid selections. Your oversight will ensure commitments are accurately represented and that supplier performance meets requirements.Major ResponsibilitiesSupervises assigned personnel on a small to medium sized project in the orderly performance and completion of project procurement commitments through the several steps of bidding, evaluation, and award, in accordance with established policies and Supply Chain GovernanceReviews commercial bid tabulations for accuracy, bidder recommendation, completeness, and approves selection of suppliers within delegated approval authorityEnsures all commitments made by subordinate personnel are accurately presented and have proper global business unit approval and signing authorities, as contained in the Procurement ProceduresReviews and recommends bid selections that require higher Procurement approval authorityExecutes commitments within delegated signing authorityReviews prime contract between customer and Bechtel and makes recommendations to designated manager to ensure appropriate provisions are reflected in the general, special, and pricing conditions of the master Purchasing pro-forma documentsDevelops, monitors, and maintains project master Purchasing pro-forma documents, including legal comments to commercial terms and conditionsDirects negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plan in the commitment and resolution of commercial conditions of purchases when such action is agreed as necessary by the designated managerAssures that project purchasing of equipment and materials is consistent with Bechtel Directives, Management Instructions, and Supply Chain GovernanceCoordinates Purchasing operations in both the project's control office and support offices to assure compliance with project requirementsEducation and Experience RequirementsRequires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and SkillsRelated Bachelor's degree and at least 8-10 years' experience in commercial aspects of procurement of major equipment and bulk materials and supervision; or at least 10 years' experience in commercial aspects of procurement of major equipment and bulk materials.Has worked on large projects (>$1billion) in a Purchasing Supervisor role.Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and commercial aspects of global procurement of equipment and materials.Preferred – familiarity with equipment and processes associated to DataCenter ProjectsTotal Rewards/BenefitsFor decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
