Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of patients in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality care to Emergency Room patients.
• Utilize the Nursing Process effectively.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with education and experience of staff available.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid license to practice in Alabama (no hits).
• Travelers must be more than 50 miles from the facility.
