Skilled Registered Nurse Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse who thrives in school-based settings. This contract position centers on providing dedicated 1:1 care for a preschool student with specific medical needs. The student requires ongoing support due to a tracheostomy and routine aspiration, and is also not toilet trained. You'll play a vital role in promoting safety, well-being, and comfort during their school hours.

The assignment is full time, beginning ASAP and continuing through late May 2026. The weekly schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:13 AM to 2:44 PM, with every other Wednesday on a rotating schedule aligned to the half-day calendar (7:15 AM to 12:17 PM). Your experience as a school nurse will be crucial in providing attentive and individualized support onsite.

Qualifications required:

• Active Arizona RN License
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Recent experience managing tracheostomy care in a pediatric or school setting
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a school environment

Role responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent 1:1 nursing care for a preschool-aged student with a tracheostomy
• Monitor, perform, and document aspiration procedures as needed
• Assist with toileting and personal care
• Communicate effectively with school staff, therapists, and the student's family
• Respond promptly to any health emergencies or changing needs
• Maintain meticulous records in accordance with school district policies
