Position Summary This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include delegating tasks and duties to team members; synthesizing patient information; assessing and caring appropriately for the age group of patients served with appropriate nursing interventions; creating and updating the patient plan of care; ensuring that all physician orders are carried out appropriately; and providing patient and family education. Integration of patient care standards is incorporated into all clinical activities. Qualifications Required Qualifications Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties. Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System. Current California Registered Nurse license. All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS). AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). NIH Stroke Scale Certification Course. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms. One year of acute care experience in Medical–Surgical Nursing.
