Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. The Medical Assistant provides clinical support within a physician practice or healthcare center and collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver high-quality patient care. You will report to the Center Administrator and work directly with patients throughout their care journey.In this role, you will:Welcome and prepare patients for examinations and procedures by discussing symptoms, medical history, and care needs.Obtain and document vital signs, patient information, and clinical observations in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with your certification, training, and applicable regulations.Perform phlebotomy, collect laboratory specimens, and prepare samples for processing.Conduct diagnostic screening tests and assist providers with examinations and treatments.Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment and examination rooms to support patient safety and infection control standards.Ensure examination rooms are fully stocked and prepared for patient visits.Accurately document patient interactions, treatments, and clinical information within the EMR.Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care as directed by the provider.Support efficient clinic operations by coordinating with providers, clinical staff, and patients.Required QualificationsSuccessful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderHigh school diploma or equivalentCPR CertifiedThis role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
