Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care Hospital | Guam Regional Medical City

Location: Guam Regional Medical City, 133 Route 3, Dededo, GU 96929
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift

Guam Regional Medical City is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive care for adult inpatient and outpatient populations. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings and proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) (required) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) (preferred)
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop individualized treatment plans
• Document patient progress using Allscripts/Sunrise charting system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and professional standards

• Certifications:
  • BLS (required)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (required)
  • MBSImp certification (preferred)
• Experience:
  • 1+ years in an acute care setting (required)
  • Outpatient experience (preferred)
  • Clinical Fellows not accepted
• Additional Requirements:
  • PASSPORT IN HAND REQUIRED for travel
  • Flights not reimbursed (candidates should factor round-trip airfare into pay expectations)

• Pay rate: $75.00-$78.00/hour
• Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours/week
• Holiday Pay: 1.5x for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day
• Charge Nurse Pay: Additional $5.00/hour
• On-Call Pay: $10.00/hour
• Call-Back Pay: 1.5x of base rate

• Weekend Requirement: May work 1 Saturday per month if census is high
• Floating: Not required
• RTO Policy:
  • Must be approved before contract starts
  • Max 3 consecutive days , max 7 total days
  • No RTO can be added after contract begins
• Uniform: Navy blue preferred; any solid color allowed
