Technician, SPD-Certified- Sterile Processing, Per Diem, Mullica Hill

MAJOR FUNCTION:To clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilize instruments for Surgical Services and other departments. To clean, assemble, inspect and distribute patient care equipment. To perform other duties to facilitate departmental operations. Demonstrates superior technical skills and knowledge of all Sterile Processing functions.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Training Program, including 400 hours of hands-on experience in an SPD setting, is required.Certification/ Licensure:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required within two years of hire.CIS – Certified Instrument Specialist preferred.CER – Certified Endoscope Reprocessor preferredKnowledge & Skills:SPD technicians should demonstrate competency in:Cleaning and disinfecting surgical instrumentsAssembling and packaging instrument traysOperating sterilization equipment (autoclaves, HLD systems)Adhering to regulatory standards, including AAMI, CDC, OSHA, DNV, and AORNStrong communication and organizational skillsPhysical Requirements: N: Never O: Occasionally (80%)Lifting CStanding CSitting OLifting 20-50lbs CClimbing FKneeling OLifting>50lbs NCrouching OReaching FCarrying CHearing CWalking CPushing CTalking CVision CEnvironmental Conditions:Noise CVaried Temperatures CCleaning Agents CNoxious odors CPatient Exposure COperative Equipment CBENEFITS INFORMATION:Click Here to Review Our Great Benefits Offerings?>At Inspira Health, you’ll join with the area’s most dedicated and distinguished team to bring quality and compassionate care to our communities.
