Produce Associate

Position Summary Sam's Club #6228 335 N Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills, IL 60061-1561. As a member of the produce team, you will make important decisions about the quality of produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be on the front lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. What You'll Do Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members. Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club, answering any questions they may have. Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area. Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner. Maintain inventory so there is no out‑of‑stock or over‑stock products. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Approach produce quality with established standards, prepare products (trim, crisp, package, scale) and maintain product safety following company sanitation guidelines. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Drive the performance of the area using digital tools and perpetual inventory management techniques. Lead by example, exhibit high quality service, energy, and commitment. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all required job training and assessments within a prescribed time period if the position is offered. Preferred Qualifications Experience in produce or relevant field. Good communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
