Intern - Server Engineering and Operations Fall 2026

Position Overview If you are motivated and believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," join our team! This paid internship opportunity is for the Fall 2026 semester. The internship program provides project-based learning and real-world experience for rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate students. Students will enhance professionalism, gain entry-level investment services experience and receive mentorship from a designated resource within the department. The goal is to identify early talent for a part-time or full-time role at SECU. Responsibilities Conduct assigned project-based research and present findings to leadership at program conclusion. Obtain entry-level exposure to the functions of an Associate IT Data Analyst, including data acquisition, preparation, cleaning, integration, and cataloging. Develop Power BI reports using Power Query, DAX, visualizations, and Python scripting with version control. Analyze and improve operational processes. Perform administrative duties such as mailings, imaging documents, and other clerical tasks as assigned. Collaborate effectively and professionally with internal coworkers and departments across the organization to aid in research and development of projects. Requirements Data Analytics or Data Science-related major. Must be 18 years or older. Currently enrolled full-time at a US–NC based accredited university/college. Commit to a 10-12 week internship program, at least 10 hours per week. GPA of 2.8 or higher. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future, and without receiving CPT/OPT through university/college. Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate Student. Job Environment Office setting with physical proximity to other employees. Some background noise from other employees, copy machine, and telephone. Hybrid, at most 4 days per month. Physical Demands Sitting, bending, standing, and walking for prolonged periods; carrying, lifting, and pushing/pulling up to 5 lbs; filing, telephone, and computer use for prolonged periods.
