Human Resources Coordinator

Facility: Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation
Location: Merritt Island, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Pay Rate: $27.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and is passionate about supporting employees, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

• Coordinate daily Human Resources operations, including employee onboarding, offboarding, payroll changes, benefits administration, resignations, and terminations.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations, including I-9 documentation, personnel files, workers' compensation claims, disability claims, and FMLA administration.

• Ensure compliance with Department of Health and other applicable regulatory requirements.

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.

• Assist with employee relations by responding to staff concerns professionally and confidentially.

• Support employee engagement, morale initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.

• Collaborate with department leaders to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently.

• Assist with HR audits and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience required.

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare preferred.

• Union experience strongly preferred.

• Experience with I-9 processing, workers' compensation, FMLA, disability claims, and employee onboarding.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
