About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: High Acuity Float Pool ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; high acuity preferred License: WA or Compact License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience; prior floating experience; ability to titrate drips Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse for the High Acuity Float Pool in an ICU setting. The nurse will float between various critical care units including observation, medical surgical, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, short-stay surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, telemetry, and progressive care. Patient assignments may vary based on acuity, typically ranging from 1-2 patients. Experience with titratable drips such as Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, and Midazolam is required. The nurse will read cardiac strips, with the presence of monitor techs for support. Self-scheduling is available, allowing flexibility in shift selection. Weekend requirements include three weekend shifts per schedule. Charge nurses do not take patient assignments and are responsible for creating daily assignments. This role requires a collaborative approach in providing high-quality patient care in an acute setting. Candidates should be comfortable with ventilators, high flow oxygen, BiPAP, and CPAP devices. The work environment will support a team-oriented atmosphere focused on patient wellness.
