Overview LSSI is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), 3 days a week. Responsible for providing direct nursing services to clients and functioning as a key member of a team of social workers, nurses, support staff, and a medical provider who are responsible for safe and quality client care in substance abuse programs. The paid training you need to learn, grow, and succeed. Essential Functions Administer TB tests and read results. Provide general health information regarding TB/Hepatitis/HIV. Carry out physician/medical provider’s treatment orders. Coordinate health information exchange with primary care physicians and psychiatrists, in accordance with client privacy laws. Complete and maintain all required documentation related to client services on time, accurately, and per policy and procedures. Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences of clients, coworkers, and community. Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner. Position Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Background check clearance required. Nursing license in good standing in the State of Illinois required. Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience required. Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred. Experience using Electronic Health Record preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing. Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
