Field Service SupervisorKinsley Power Systems is seeking a Field Service Supervisor for our Levittown, PA branch. The Field Service Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing standby power generation equipment while supervising and supporting a team of Field Service Technicians. This position blends advanced technical expertise with field leadership, coaching, quality control, and operational coordination.Kinsley Power Systems, a family-owned business, has been an industry leader in generator service, sales, and rentals for over 55 years. At Kinsley, we are dedicated to exceeding our customers' expectations in an environment that is enjoyable and rewarding.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Responsibilities:Perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting with ability to independently repair units. Also, the ability to perform startups on offsite industrial and residential power generation equipmentProvides emergency/unscheduled repairs of power generation equipment (alternator assemblies, engines, automatic transfer switches, switchgear, load banks and control systems)Diagnose problems/troubleshoot, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsReads/interprets equipment manuals, wiring diagrams and work orders to perform maintenance and serviceUse a variety of hand/power tools and electrical test equipment in performing duties to detect faulty parts and submit repair quotes electronicallyOperate a company service vehicle and perform routine inspection on assigned equipment/vehiclesComplete reports, accept assignments, communicate internally and externally via computer-based systemsManage physical inventory of parts and fluids, as well as computerized inventory systemTravel and transport of tools, supplies and equipment by vehicle and independently to customer sites, including but not limited to: remote wooded locations, elevated locations with only stair access or elevator accessibility, rooftops, farms, waste water treatment plants, and residential sites – both urban and ruralLeadership Responsibilities:Assist Operations Manager with direct supervision of technicians as it relates to daily operation and overall performanceContinuously sets the example for others to follow as it relates to safety, technical skills, training, communications, company policy and professional appearance and attitudeAssists with training and development plans for Field Service Technicians, including but not limited to evaluating skills and mentoring techniciansAssist in coaching, rewarding and evaluating Field Service Technicians. Including but not limited to, providing input and communicating performance evaluations, recommending merit increases and issuing disciplineEnsure adequate field coverage by coordinating backfills for any gap in emergency response or on call coverageThis position requires 24/7 availability for technical assistance and emergency service calls both within local markets and throughout the company's service territoryAssists with dispatch planning to insure most economical use of time and equipmentPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma (or equivalent), relevant technical training or previous experience acceptedMust reside within the posted geographical area or be willing to relocate at own expensePrevious experience working on 8.5kW – 2,500kW generatorsPrior leadership experience preferredValid driver's license and ability to obtain OSHA certification and DOT medical cardPossess a strong customer services focus with good verbal and written communication skillsProficient with general computer skills and mobile dispatch software, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a productive manner in all types of weather conditions and environmentsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and on call hours as requiredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
