Senior Account Manager, Commercial Insurance - Potential for Hybrid Work

HUB International is hiring an Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team in Midlothian, VA. The position focuses on servicing small‑ to mid‑market dental practice accounts and driving new business. Responsibilities Review and analyze commercial accounts for coverage, limits, and other key metrics; recommend appropriate solutions. Understand clients’ insurance objectives and compare plans to determine suitability. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to meet all service needs. Stay abreast of changes in the insurance industry and independent‑of‑manager changes, making appropriate recommendations to clients. Act as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service issues; negotiate with underwriters and carriers when necessary. Troubleshoot claims and billing issues and prepare applications for submission to the marketing department. Prepare client proposals based on needs, rates, and coverages. Prepare all transaction documents for assigned accounts (applications, certificates of insurance, invoices, forms). Document conversations with clients and carrier representatives and update all HUB computer systems. Maintain data accuracy in agency management systems and handle premium collections when required. Conduct business in a manner that demonstrates understanding of company earnings implications. Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the manager. Qualifications Seven years of commercial lines insurance experience. Thorough knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets. Property and Casualty insurance license. Advanced professional designation (ARM, CIC, CPCU) highly desirable. High school diploma or equivalent; AA or college degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superior customer service and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems. Mastery of virtual technology (meeting scheduling, video display, screen sharing). Ability to work in a team environment. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
