Calibration Technician I

Job Summary A Calibration Technician is responsible for the calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of instruments, meters, gauges and other testing and measuring equipment. The Calibration Technician ensures they are calibrated correctly and provide accurate measurements. The technician provides support to the engineering and manufacturing functions as it relates to calibration. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Perform internal calibration of equipment in accordance with quality system requirements, demonstrating that products manufactured by Nordson EFD meet end‑user and company requirements. Coordinate external calibration of equipment in accordance with quality system requirements, demonstrating that products manufactured by Nordson EFD meet end‑user and company requirements. Maintain the calibration system in accordance with the established frequency. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Maintain calibration equipment and supplies. Ensure equipment is safe for operation and suggest upgrades when appropriate. Backup incoming inspection as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 2 years of calibration experience or experience with measuring equipment. ASQ CCT certification preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Adobe). Competency with calibration software. Preferred Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate using English, both oral and written, to effectively convey results and issues. Working knowledge of ISO9001‑2015. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. Energetic self‑starter. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Experience using ERP software, SAP preferred. Experience using EIQ software is a plus. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Lab/Manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds daily. Must wear safety glasses, gloves, hair net and lab coat. Regularly required to use hands to perform inspections. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision and depth perception. Magnification is used during the inspection process.
