Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will provide personalized patient care, utilizing evidence-based therapy methods.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing functions to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic services through one-on-one, group, or co-treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate with healthcare team members regularly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.
• Manage a variable caseload, providing services to both short-term and long-term patients.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and industry standards in documentation and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state.
• Possess at least 1 year of clinical experience; new graduates are not eligible.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and therapeutic skills in a skilled nursing setting.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Saturday, with flexibility as needed.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare regulations preferred.
