A healthcare facility in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a contract position lasting approximately 13 weeks, with potential for extension. This role requires strong expertise in hospital pharmacy operations within a large academic setting.

Schedule:

• Evening shifts available
• Options for 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts
• Training will occur during day shifts

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Ohio state pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacist experience, preferably in a large academic hospital environment
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• In-depth knowledge of sterile compounding processes and oversight
• Experience with order verification, sterile product checks, and dose medication validation
• Skills in managing Pyxis systems and responding to patient and physician inquiries
• Familiarity with IV room operations, ECMO, CRRT, consults, and antibiotic dosing

Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense medications in compliance with hospital protocols
• Oversee sterile compounding and ensure quality control of sterile products
• Conduct dose checks and Pyxis management
• Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers and patients regarding medication therapies
• Support advanced procedure areas including IV room, ECMO, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) units
