Tools and Parts Attendant

Job Title
The position requires assistance in various duties related to automotive/vehicle repair tools and equipment.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Issuing tools to patrons, verifying identification, and obtaining signatures for issued tools.
- Inspecting returned tools and informing patrons of replacement costs and collecting payment when damage is attributable to a patron.
- Assisting patrons and the Program Manager in estimating repair-part costs by researching parts, labor, pricing, and applicable programs.
- Informing customers of, and enforcing, safety and hazardous-material (HAZMAT) regulations.
- Assisting the Program Manager with the monthly inventory of retail-store stock.
- Ensuring receipts are completed accurately and reflecting correct prices, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining a $100 change fund, completing a Daily Activity Record, and depositing cash receipts at the end of each workday.
- Cleaning assigned Auto Skills areas as required, including restrooms and the carwash.
- Occasionally operating the tire machine, tire balancer, and brake lathe.
