Patient Care Technician

Patient Care Tech - ERProvides general nursing care assistance to patients, with consideration for the unique needs of pediatric and geriatric populations as appropriate. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. Patient Care Technicians perform duties under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and in addition performs general stocking duties as needed to support unit operations.Job Duties:Patient hygiene, routine vital signs, routine care.Documentation of patient care in EMR based on scope of practice.Phlebotomy and various other lab collections.Placement of appropriate monitoring equipment.Performs 12 Lead ECG.Coordinates transport of patients as needed.Requirements:High School Diploma/GEDMust obtain Basic Life Support within 3 months of hireBenefits:Tuition Assistance reimbursement programPaid Time Off available for use upon hireCompany paid Maternity and Paternity LeaveBereavement Leave (includes pets)Employee Assistance ProgramRetirement plans with company matchBaptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
