You'll design, implement, and evolve software that mimics complex operational environments, enabling rigorous, repeatable testing of frequently updated firmware and software under test.This role demands strong software engineering fundamentals in text-based languages (Python, C#, C++, or similar) to architect test frameworks, automate sequences, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and handle data processing. You'll also work with LabVIEW to interface with test hardware, build measurement VIs, and maintain existing LabVIEW-based test scripts—but your primary value will come from your ability to write clean, maintainable code in modern programming languages.The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a proactive, 'hungry-to-learn' attitude in a fast-paced, high-visibility program.Basic Qualifications:- Proficiency in at least one text-based programming language (e.g., Python, C#, C++) with demonstrated ability to design modular, maintainable software for test automation, data processing, or system integration.- Working knowledge of LabVIEW for test and measurement, including the ability to create reusable VIs, understand LabVIEW design patterns, and maintain/extend existing LabVIEW test sequences.- Ability to interpret and work from hardware schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.- Familiarity with version-control systems (Git, SVN) and configuration-management best practices.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced team environment.- A proactive, 'hungry-to-learn' attitude and willingness to acquire new skills on the job.Desired Skills:- Demonstrated experience integrating software modules into automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).- Solid understanding of software testing principles, test-case design, and verification/validation processes.- Hands-on experience with Jira (or a similar issue-tracking tool) and familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflow practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.- Basic understanding of networking protocols and data exchange formats (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, JSON, XML) commonly used in tactical system emulation.- Experience with the LabVIEW Architecture Framework (or equivalent design patterns) for larger-scale LabVIEW projects.Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
