You will play a key role in our financial reporting process to ensure accurate and timely presentation of balance sheet and income statement activity. What you19ll do: Own assigned areas of the general ledger, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with internal control and audit standards Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by completing assigned responsibilities accurately and on schedule and proactively resolving outstanding items Analyze and record recurring and nonroutine transactions, including debt, fixed assets, intercompany activity, and foreign currency impacts Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate unusual or unexpected activity, and clearly document conclusions Support NAVEX19s technical accounting activities by researching US GAAP guidance, preparing accounting analyses and memos, and assisting with implementation of new accounting standards Execute key internal controls, maintain appropriate supporting documentation, and identify opportunities to strengthen the control environment Coordinate with external auditors by preparing requested documentation, responding to inquiries, and helping drive the audit process to timely completion Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase consistency, reduce manual work, and enhance the efficiency of our close process Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Tax, and Facilities and other teams to achieve business goals Provide guidance and informal mentorship to other accounting team members while serving as a reliable resource on US GAAP and NAVEX accounting policies Use available technology, including automation and AI-enabled tools, responsibly to improve the efficiency, consistency, and quality of accounting processes What you19ll bring: A bachelor19s degree in Accounting 5+ years of experience in public accounting or industry (SaaS or software company preferred) Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CPA eligible is a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with a large ERP system; NetSuite experience is preferred Demonstrated ability to own accounting processes from start to finish, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines An intellectual curiosity that seeks opportunities to learn and improve Exceptional problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly and collaborate across departments.
