The Risk Management Business Risk Office is a critical function responsible for mitigating risk for the entire Risk Organization. Through this work they will gain a broad, general understanding of how Capital One manages risk.Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to, the following:Partner collaboratively with our Risk Advisors and business areas, risk data management team, and other risk management partners, and business risk officesSupport internal audits and exams as neededParticipate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basisDemonstrate effective communication and influence across multiple functional areas and levels of the organization, fostering accountability and collaboration.Provide clear, actionable recommendations to ensure our process and controls are executing as intended.Solving problems and engaging in critical thinking to continuously improve our risk practices.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 5 years of experience working in risk management, audit, or quality assurance programsAt least 3 years of experience with querying, analyzing and working with data and scripting languages such as Python, R, Spark, or SQLAt least 2 years of experience working with process and project management and improvement practicesPreferred Qualifications:6+ years of experience working in risk management, audit, or formal quality assurance programs4+ years of experience working with at least one scripting language such as Python, R, Spark, or SQL and querying, analyzing and working with data languages3+ years of experience working with process and project management and improvement practicesExperience working in the financial services industryExperience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software toolsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Risk ManagerRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk ManagerRiverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk ManagerChicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
