Electric Motor & Contracting Company, Inc., founded in 1960, is one of the largest independently owned repair facilities for electrical rotating machinery, pumps, and switchgear in the US. We are conveniently located in Hampton Roads, Virginia just miles from Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

We are currently seeking highly motivated, dedicated, and hard working individuals! EMC provides training for various skilled trade crafts. These trades include, but are not limited to: Motor Winding, Machining (manual and CNC), and various Mechanical and Electrical fields.

Qualifications:

1. High school degree or equivalent.
2. Must be physically able to safely operate equipment, able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and capable of standing/stooping/kneeling for long periods of time.
3. We are a service industry on call to our customers 24/7/365. To meet our customers' needs, employees must be able to work overtime as needed, including extending hours outside of the assigned shift. This also includes weekends/holidays.
4. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Must possess great attitude and willingness to learn.
6. Must have reliable transportation.
7. Must pass drug and background screening.
