Key Responsibilities

• Full-Service Grooming: Perform complete bath, dry, brush, clip, scissor, and breed-standard styles tailored to owner preferences.
• Pet Care & Hygiene: Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, and coat condition assessments.
• Safe Handling: Comfortably handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and coat types using low-stress handling techniques.
• Client Communication: Consult directly with pet owners on cut preferences, maintenance schedules, and skin/coat recommendations.
• Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized grooming station following proper animal welfare and safety standards.
• Record Keeping: Log accurate notes on dog coat conditions, specific cuts, and owner preferences.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification/License: Valid Grooming License, Certification from an accredited grooming school, or proven professional experience as required by local/state regulations.
• Experience: 1+ years of professional dog grooming experience preferred (portfolio or reference photos of work requested).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with clippers, shears, coat prep, and breed-standard styles.
• Animal Welfare Knowledge: Strong understanding of canine behavior, safe handling techniques, and ability to spot common skin/ear issues.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or maneuver dogs up to [50+] lbs.
• Soft Skills: Punctual, reliable, compassionate, and customer-service oriented.
