About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to succeed the current COO, who is retiring. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in credit union operations, including branch network management, call center, back-office operations, consumer deposits, loan originations, marketing, and training and talent development. The COO will work closely with the CEO, providing executive leadership, and will be instrumental in strategic planning, organizational growth, and ensuring that operational strategies align with the company's long-term goals and commitment to exceptional member service. This role also involves fostering collaboration, supporting innovation, and driving process improvement within the organization. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in the credit union industry. Advanced degrees and industry certifications are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational management, a deep understanding of the credit union philosophy, and a strong commitment to the community and member-focused approach. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage and oversee various operational functions, while also playing a key role in board reporting and organizational growth initiatives. The COO will be expected to ensure that the company's operational strategies are in line with its mission and values, and to lead the organization in a way that fosters trust, service, and financial well-being for its members.
