Pet Insurance Claims Examiner/Adjuster – Administrative Strategies (AdStrat) Work from home – 1099 full‑time temporary position Overview The pet insurance industry is growing. We are looking for an experienced claims examiner/adjuster to join our team. Successful candidates will bring veterinary knowledge and strong claims processing skills to a 1099 role that is fully remote. Key Responsibilities and Qualifications Minimum of 6 months of Pet Insurance claims processing experience with a track record of quality performance. Veterinary Technician experience is required. Must hold a Home State Property & Casualty License, a DHS P&C license, or be able to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Ability to work independently and self‑motivated. Able to identify chronic vs acute conditions and make medical condition determinations based on medications and procedures performed. Input veterinary medical records with accurate conditions and coverage determinations. Comfortable sitting for long periods working on a computer. Willing and able to work at least one weekend day as required. Detail‑oriented research skills and ability to utilize available tools when answers are unknown. Computer literate with a strong internet connection and at least one 24‑inch or larger monitor. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
