PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL LIVE-IN SENIOR CAREGIVER — NICEVILLE, FL

Private family in Niceville, Florida is seeking two long-term Private Residential Live-In Senior Caregivers for an 84-year-old woman.

This is a true residential live-in position, not an overnight or sleep-in shift.

Each caregiver will have a separate private bedroom and would normally be expected to reside in the home seven days a week. The caregivers will generally divide responsibility approximately 31⁄2 days per week each and may coordinate and adjust their schedules between themselves, provided at least one caregiver is physically present and available for necessary care at all times.

Normal caregiving duties are expected to total approximately 8 hours per day while on duty , with flexibility according to the patient's needs. Nighttime activity is normally expected to be mostly standby . When off duty, caregivers are free to leave the residence. If both caregivers are present during an emergency, either or both may be called upon to assist.

The patient is an 84-year-old, approximately 125-pound woman who is ambulatory but is a 1-assist fall risk due to gait issues . Applicants must have the physical capability and appropriate experience to safely assist her with mobility and help protect her from a fall.

Duties include:

• Personal care
• Bathing and dressing
• Toileting
• Transfers and mobility assistance
• Meal preparation
• Normal housekeeping
• Driving and transportation

A valid driver's license is required.

CNA/HHA certification is welcome but not required . We are primarily seeking a dependable, experienced senior caregiver capable of providing hands-on care and attending to the patient's safety and wellbeing. This is not primarily a companionship position.

Compensation: $3,500 per month + private room and board. Meals are provided with the family at home and when dining at restaurants. Higher compensation may be considered for an exceptionally qualified applicant.

Reasonable travel assistance for an in-person interview may be available when necessary.

There will be a trial employment period before a final long-term decision is made. The successful caregivers will be treated as members of our family.

Caregiver will accompany the patient when she goes onto a U.S. Air Force installation. The employer will personally sponsor and accompany the caregiver through the appropriate base-pass process.

Our home is located in a safe, gated community in Niceville near Destin and the north end of the Mid-Bay Bridge in Bluewater Bay.
