Minimum pay for this position is $22.86/hour. Additional compensation will be considered for candidates with higher amounts of experience above the minimum requirements. Role Overview The Compliance Coordinator is a non‑sworn professional responsible for ensuring the administrative, compliance, records, and risk‑control functions of the Company Police Department are carried out in a timely and professional manner. The Coordinator ensures the department operates in full compliance with NCGS Chapter 74E, North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards, Biltmore corporate policies, and applicable records retention and audit requirements. The Coordinator also serves as a point of contact for the Company Police Shooting Range and ensures compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and environmental regulations. The role serves as a key liaison between the Police Department and Legal, Human Resources, and Risk Management, while maintaining appropriate independence from operational law‑enforcement decision‑making. Essential Job Duties Manage departmental records, reports, and documentation in compliance with NC records and retention laws. Oversee evidence room and property control systems, ensuring proper chain of custody and documentation. Maintain personnel, training, and certification files for officers. Coordinate scheduling, timekeeping, payroll reporting, and administrative workflows. Manage departmental procurement, inventory, uniforms, and equipment tracking. Ensure compliance with the shooting range rules, policies, and procedures. Self‑motivate, be thorough and accurate with data collection, tracking, and follow‑through on all tasks. Adhere to confidentiality of various matters the department is involved in, as well as any other confidential information that the Compliance Coordinator may be exposed to. Maintain the Access Control System, including schedules and ensuring badge requests are fulfilled; liaise with all system users to meet departmental needs and analyze reporting to increase effectiveness. Work with internal and external customers on community‑oriented policing projects as assigned by the Chief of Police. Serve as CT Advocate for the department, working with the internal Corporate Technology team and external vendors to maximize the value and functionality of systems. Independent Decision Making Track sworn officer compliance with NC Criminal Justice standards and compliance for annual in‑service training, firearms qualifications. Maintain audit‑ready documentation for NCDOJ reviews, corporate audits, external inspections, and support policy distribution. Assist the Chief with policy updates, compliance reviews, and corrective action plans. Assist in litigation support, document preservation, and internal investigations as assigned. This position is non‑sworn and holds no law‑enforcement authority; it shall not engage in arrests, criminal investigations, or enforcement actions. Operates under policies that clearly distinguish administrative functions from sworn operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public administration, criminal justice, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in law enforcement administration, compliance, or records management. Experience supporting a law enforcement or company police agency, preferably in North Carolina. Strong knowledge of administrative controls, documentation, and audit processes. Familiarity with NCGS Chapter 74E or NC Criminal Justice Standards is preferred. Experience with records management systems or evidence/property systems. Prior program or project management experience is preferred. Physical Requirements This Job is predominately indoors in an office environment.
