Location: Toledo, Ohio, United StatesCompany: Toledo ClinicPosted: 2026-09-01Cardiology Department Coder/Medical BillerToledo Clinic's Cardiology Department is seeking a full-time Coder/Medical Biller to work full-time (M-F, 8-5). Previous experience as a Coder in a medical office preferred.General Summary:Responsible for application of CPT and ICD-10 codes to all procedures performed for a given date of service for The Toledo Clinic, as well as tracking of patients seen and working all eCW claims for denials, errors.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Example of Essential Duties:Codes visits utilizing the ICD-10 and CPT codes from patient visit documentation.Demographic registration/updates for all patientsEnters charges into claim entry in eCWMonitors, submits, correct all claim activityCreate workflow processes to ensure accuracy and accountabilityOther Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):Assists patients and/or insurance companies with billing and authorization questions.Coordinate with providers to ensure all visits are accounted for utilizing hospital call schedules, census/rounding sheets and appointment schedules.Other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Required:- Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes and manuals required- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.- Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.- CPC or CCS-P or able to pass Toledo Clinic's comprehensive coding testEducation:- HS diploma or GED required.Preferred:- Medical Coding education- Previous coding experience
