Diesel Technician / MechanicWe are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Columbia, MO.You will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic softwareCompensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsAdditional Responsibilities Unique to this Position- A current valid CDL is required for this role.- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations- This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of ageAbout UsCummins is an equal opportunity employer.
