SENIOR ACCOUNTANT page is loaded## SENIOR ACCOUNTANTlocations: Coppell, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: REQ-1536**Job Profile Summary:**Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.**Major Duties and Responsibilities:*** Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.* Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.* Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.* May guide or review the work of support staff.* May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials.* Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature* Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project* Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.**Required Skills, Experience, and Education:*** Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance* 4+ years of related experience* Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.* Maintain good, cooperative working relationships with customers, vendors, and other employees, must contribute to a positive team environment.* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)* Strong problem solving & analytical skills.* Self-starter with keen organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or re-prioritization of projects.* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written* Modern accounting systems (Workday, Netsuite, etc.) experience* Aptitude for mathematics and quantitative skills* Always demonstrates superior ethics and sound judgment.* Proficiency in English, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English, is required for this position.**Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:*** Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials.* 7+ years of related experience* Awareness of business trends* Hands-on experience with accounting and banking software packages* Accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced business environment* Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance**Physical Requirements:*** Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.* Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.* The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.Pegasus Logistics Group is breaking the mold and we want employees as passionate and diverse as we are.Pegasus Logistics Group is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
