Reviewing and validating installation procedures. Maintaining QC checklists and logs. Witnessing IT testing. Witnessing critical aspects (i.e. concrete encasement, mandrelling, etc.) of outside plant construction. Performing checkpoint reviews and filing reports. Attending project briefings. Provides installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems. Designs, develops, implements, tests, debugs, and maintains communications systems. Performs configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems, and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach. Complies with prescribed customer, industry, and agency standards. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 0-5 years of experience, or Associate's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and 7+ years of experience. SECRET security clearance Preferred Education and Experience: Up to five (5) years experience in IT installation and testing Experience with optical fiber and copper cable testing. Experience with grounding, bonding, and shielding. Familiarity with ANSI/TIA standards. Familiarity with military IT/construction projects. Physical Requirements: Standing for long periods. Ambulate throughout a building. Ambulate between several buildings. Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as required.
