School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Irvine, California

This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to partner closely with Occupational Therapists, providing valuable assistance with a busy schedule of assessments throughout the academic year. Youll be assigned to a school site following your interview, allowing you to focus on supporting a vibrant student community.

Qualifications:

• Valid California COTA license required
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with OTs, educators, and other school staff
• Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques relevant to school-aged children
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Dedication to fostering students engagement, independence, and functional skills in the classroom

Responsibilities:

• Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
• Support documentation and progress monitoring in coordination with the team
• Provide direct support to students under OT direction, focusing on fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
• Communicate regularly with supervising OTs, teachers, and families to support students goals
• Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse student needs
• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and professional standards
