Underwriting Services Assistant I
Location: Broomfield, CO 80021 - Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)
Contract: 6-12 months, potential contract-to-hire
Pay: $24/hr W2
Job Summary
Seeking an Underwriting Services Assistant I to support insurance underwriting operations. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with about 1 year of experience in insurance, mortgage, customer service, or administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Process underwriting transactions, including binds, endorsements, and cancellations
- Manage shared inboxes, queues, and Outlook requests
- Review, organize, and route underwriting-related work
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow established procedures and workflows
- Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders
- Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in insurance, mortgage, customer service, or administration
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn underwriting processes and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred: Insurance or mortgage experience, underwriting support, or experience with policies, endorsements, cancellations, shared inboxes, or workflow queues.
Schedule
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
- Thursday is the required onsite day
- Core hours: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
