Details Neuro/Ortho unit on the 4th floor of a hospital heart hospital building 25-bed unit with 40 staff including RNs, PCTs, and a unit coordinator Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 1 unit coordinator, 3 PCTs, and 5 RNs Night shift staffing includes 5 RNs and 1 PCT Patient ratios of 6:1, sometimes 5:1 Uses Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps Meditech EMR used 13-week assignment with a 7A-7P shift schedule Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required Meditech experience preferred Telemetry experience preferred Ability to manage chest tubes preferred Ability to manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips preferred Ability to manage weight-based heparin drips preferred General med/surg competencies required US SSN and DOB required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Royal blue scrubs required Provide nursing care to neuro/ortho telemetry patients Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility American Traveler Job ID P-748575.
