As a Security Officer - Outdoor Retail Patrol in Oceanside, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and/or loading or delivery zones to help to support authorized entry, maintain order, and report security-related concerns.
• Provide visible presence and routine assistance during opening, closing, and busy shopping periods while following post orders and reporting incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
