MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Maintenance Technician – Hudson ProcessingOpal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician for our Hudson, CO egg processing plant. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. Opal Foods provides high-quality, nutritious, affordable eggs to its customers through its farms based in Missouri, Colorado, and Iowa with its headquarters in Neosho, MO.Position Responsibilities:Meet or exceed plant business plan and KPI'sKeep equipment running and operational during processing hoursPerform preventive and urgent maintenance of general production machinery and equipmentDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsTake a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down timeUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasHave basic SQF knowledge and understandingAdhere to all company Good Manufacturing ProceduresPhysical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician:Fast paced work environment.Lift fifty or more pounds on a regular basis.Bend, lift, pull, push, stoop, bend and climb.Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsOrganized and detail orientedWilling to work off schedule shifts and/or days when necessaryPrior experience troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairing industrial processing equipmentPreferred Qualifications:A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance within a food/manufacturing environmentBenefits: Opal Foods, LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package.
