In-Office | Holland, MI, United States

Start: ASAP, Shift: 3x12's 7 pm-7:30 am, every 3rd weekend required.

Length: 8-weeks, potentially longer depending on the candidate.

Requirements:

We're looking for someone with experience working in a locked psych unit who can hit the ground running.

Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program required,

Current Michigan RN License (or completed by end of orientation) required,

Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire) required.

Standards of Professional Performance The RN promotes patient safety by adhering to hospital and nursing department policies, including the Patient's Bill of Rights.

The RN practices in accordance with the ANA Standards of Professional Performance, including: Quality of Practice

Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice Education

Maintains knowledge and competency aligned with evidence based psychiatric and medical practice

Professional Practice Evaluation - Evaluates personal practice against standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Collaboration - Works with patients, families, and interdisciplinary behavioral health teams.

Ethics - Integrates ethical principles into all areas of psychiatric care.

Evidence Based Practice & Research - Incorporates psychiatric and behavioral health research into care.

Resource Utilization - Uses resources safely, effectively, and responsibly.

Environmental Health - Promotes a safe, therapeutic, and ligature free environment.

Collegiality - Contributes to the professional development of peers and students.
