Payroll and HR ManagerOur client, a growing real estate development, construction and management company located near Spaghetti Junction off of I-85, is seeking a Payroll & HR Manager. Reporting to the Controller, this hands-on role owns payroll, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR for approximately 150 employees across the company's construction and property management businesses. This position is five days a week in the Chamblee office.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess all payroll in ADP Workforce Now, including semi-monthly salaried and bi-weekly salaried/hourly payrolls across multiple entitiesManage payroll taxes (SUI and SIT) across GA, FL, TN, AL, NC, SC, and TX using ADP SmartComplianceAdminister employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and short/long-term disabilityManage new hire onboarding, including ADP setup, background checks, drug screening, and E-Verify/I-9Oversee time and attendance and expense reimbursement through ConcurHandle day-to-day HR matters such as attendance issues, write-ups, and PTO trackingSupport annual audits (workers' comp, 401(k), insurance census, financial) and prepare W-2 and 1099 filingsServe as the go-to HR resource for employeesQualifications5+ years of payroll and HR experience, ideally in a small-to-mid-size, multi-entity environmentStrong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (required)Working knowledge of multi-state payroll tax complianceExperience with benefits administration and open enrollmentFamiliarity with Concur, ADP SmartCompliance, and E-Verify a plusPHR/SHRM-CP or CPP certification a plusStrong confidentiality, attention to detail, and communication skillsComfortable working independently as the primary payroll/HR resource
