Engineer - Linux Platform

We are looking for a Linux Platform Engineer to join the Cloud and Connectivity organization and help unlock the power of the cloud, supporting large‑scale GPU and high‑performance computing (HPC) initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing You will lead the strategy, engineering, and development of Linux computing capabilities for on‑premise and cloud hosting, partner with AI/ML and HPC teams, and direct the global Linux strategy for private cloud and public IaaS services. Responsibilities Lead strategy and engineering of Linux capabilities for on‑premise and cloud environments. Partner with AI/ML and HPC teams to design secure, resilient hybrid cloud services. Direct global Linux strategy for private cloud and public IaaS Linux services. Improve infrastructure availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, new architectural designs, and observability enhancements. Provide guidance to global SMEs and outsourced operations for daily operations. Accelerate initiatives in AI/ML acceleration, AIOps automation, cloud IaaS management, and infrastructure as code. Experience with Linux and enterprise‑grade infrastructure solutions at multiple global locations. Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and Linux system administration with automated infrastructure availability and resiliency at enterprise scale for AI/ML frameworks. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Apptainer/Singularity. Knowledge and experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet. Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash or Python. Consistent track record of high quality, agile, team‑based solution delivery. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, working across global and diverse teams. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience as a Linux OS/Platform Engineer. Demonstrated experience leading a global large‑scale infrastructure project. Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Compensation / Benefits Salary range: $64,500 – $158,400. Full‑time employees are eligible for company bonuses.
