Industrial Maintenance Technician

Pay: $30-36 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift (8am-5pm)

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of manufacturing equipment to support safe and efficient plant operations.

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, and facility systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, motors, conveyors, boilers, reactors, kettles, gearboxes, cooling towers, vessels, and piping systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Repair or replace defective components using hand and power tools.
• Support facility and building maintenance projects as needed.
• Coordinate parts ordering and inventory to ensure maintenance readiness.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.
• Assist with field maintenance and outdoor equipment repairs when necessary.
• Utilize welding and fabrication skills to support repair projects.

• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, boilers, piping systems, and production machinery.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• PLC troubleshooting and electrical diagnostic experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

• TIG, Stick, or MIG welding experience.
• Experience in chemical, process, manufacturing, refinery, food processing, or industrial production facilities.
• Familiarity with gearboxes, cooling towers, reactors, and pressure vessels.
• Field service or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining older industrial equipment and machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Cook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
