About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images of specified body parts as requested, producing quality images for radiologist interpretation with minimal supervision.
• Greet and verify patient identity, obtain pertinent patient history, review orders, current medications, allergy information, and completed questionnaires prior to procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients, anticipate patient needs, and communicate professionally with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
• Position patients, perform scans, and archive procedures according to established protocols within quality control parameters; utilize appropriate radiation-reducing techniques without compromising image quality.
• Utilize proper venipuncture techniques and administer contrast media according to established protocol; reconcile patient medications to prevent contrast media interactions.
• Properly identify, prepare, administer, and document medications used during procedures; assist physicians with invasive procedures as applicable and support co-workers across modalities as needed.

• Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program .
• ARRT certification required.
• Ohio License as Radiographer required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation techniques, and sterile procedures.
• Proficiency in patient positioning and imaging equipment operation.

• Minimum of 2 years of related CT technologist experience.
• ARRT (CT) advanced certification preferred.
