Registered Nurse - NICU Level III
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00). This position requires every weekend availability.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to newborns, including micro preemies, and possess expertise in high-frequency ventilation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill neonates.
- Monitor and assess patients, administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate families on care plans and procedures for their infants.
- Maintain accurate patient records, utilizing the Epic charting system.
- Float as needed among five facilities based on staffing requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent nursing experience in a Level III NICU.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation is essential.
- Active RN license in New Jersey or Compact state.
- Nursys verification must be dated within 2 weeks of submission.
