Engineering Manager, Investment Banking IT

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Engineering Manager, Investment Banking IT in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available). Responsibilities Manage information technology projects for the development and delivery of Banking CRM IT applications using the Salesforce platform. Collaborate with business stakeholders to design scalable solutions aligned with overall technology strategy. Plan the technical execution sequence for the CRM Technology Road map. Provide accurate time and effort estimates for Project deliverables and allocate resources effectively by balancing out workload and skill sets within the team. Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, security standards and maintainable scalable code. Define and drive improvements to the existing engineering processes by identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and anticipate resource needs for upcoming projects. Guide, mentor, and manage a team of application engineers and foster their professional growth and development by performing regular performance evaluations. May telecommute pursuant to company policies. (Hybrid role) Accountabilities Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives. Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget. Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement. Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity. Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development. Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
