CMM Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with expertise in large-scale ZEISS Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs). This role will focus on developing, improving, and automating inspection programs to support metrology and quality operations. The ideal candidate will have experience programming and operating large ZEISS CMM systems and creating robust inspection processes that support multiple operators and repeatable measurements.

Program, operate, and optimize large ZEISS CMM machines used for dimensional inspection.

Develop, improve, and automate CMM inspection programs to increase efficiency and repeatability.

Create and maintain probing routines and measurement programs.

Utilize ZEISS CALYPSO software for inspection programming and reporting.

Work with ZEISS CALYPSO Curve, PCM, and Freeform functionality.

Create and maintain standardized metrology and inspection processes.

Lock down programs for consistent use across multiple operators.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the metrology and quality environment.

Measure and inspect large components, including parts up to approximately 8 feet wide and 13 feet tall.

Skills and Requirements

Experience programming and operating large ZEISS Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs).

Experience with ZEISS CALYPSO programming and operation.

Experience utilizing ZEISS CALYPSO Curve, PCM, and Freeform modules.

Experience developing automated inspection programs.

Experience creating and maintaining CMM or metrology inspection processes.

Experience with CMM probing and measurement program development.

Established background in CMM programming within a manufacturing or metrology environment.
