Job Opportunity – Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse – Montana

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Montana

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (4-day, 10-hour shifts may be possible). On-call requirement of 8 shifts per month including variable call on weekends and nights. Weekend rotation every 3rd or 4th weekend depending on rotation and time-off requests. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• Critical Access Hospital environment with a 2-room OR serving diverse specialties including OB/GYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Pain Management, and Dental
• Rotational assignments across all surgical services areas: Pre-op, Circulating, Post-op, PACU (Phase I and II), and Endoscopy
• Patient ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on assignment and patient acuity
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• Hands-on role following patients through the entire perioperative journey from pre-op to discharge
• Opportunity to work with all patient populations: adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to circulate C-sections (hard requirement)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency in a broad range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacements, GI/GYN cases, orthopedic procedures, ENT cases, and pediatric dentistry
• Experience with conscious sedation monitoring, specimen handling, peripheral IV insertion, and wound management
• Flexibility to float within surgical services and assist other departments within scope of practice
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
