LTAC Nurse – Geriatric PopulationNights, 36 hours per week (18:45–07:15); every other weekend required.Contract length: 13 weeks; average daily census: 36 patients in a 40-bed unit.Minimum 2 years nursing experience.LTAC experience required.PointClickCare experience required.BLS certification required.Preferred: prior charge experience, community hospital, trauma level I/II experience.Provide nursing care to the geriatric population with complex needs.Administer medications and manage IV therapy.Perform wound care and maintain infection control practices.Execute patient assessments and monitor vital signs.Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care plans.Educate patients and families regarding healthcare needs.Orientation includes unit orientation for 24 hours and hospital orientation during the first week. Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
