Histology Technician

Histology Technician Opportunity in Lakewood, CO

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated Histotechnician to join our team. As a Histotechnician, you will play a crucial role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Your work will contribute to accurate diagnoses and impactful healthcare decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures.
• Ensure all specimens are prepared according to established protocols and maintain high-quality standards.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Accurately record and maintain data related to specimen preparation and laboratory procedures.
• Work closely with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Histotechnology or related field preferred, ASCP certification preferred but not required.
• Previous experience (6+ months) in a histology laboratory is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in histological techniques, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to quality and patient care.

Logistics:

Location: Lakewood, CO

Schedule: Monday – Friday (3 time options) (15% differential offered on top of base pay)

• 10:00pm-6:30am
• 12:00am-8:30am
• 2:00am-10:30am

Pay Range: $18.00/hr.
