CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK SUPERVISOR

Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for an experienced Clinical Social Work Supervisor for our Families w/ Children facility in Staten Island. As the Clinical Social Work Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in our organization by providing expertise and advice for the successful operations for our family shelter. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious social work professional who has demonstrated experience helping create and sustain new programs and is looking to shape our growing program of Client Care Coordinators. ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS:

Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. Our family residences are more than just a place to sleep. Families can make the most of their stay through accessing an array of onsite programs. Many of these programs are also available to people living in the local community. Our goal is to have a positive impact so families can thrive long after they leave our shelters.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clinical oversight for a team of LMSWs in accordance with the New York State Law and regulations.
• Supervise, coach and offer professional development to LMSWs.
• Consult with team members on tasks related to mental health service delivery for families experiencing homelessness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New York.
• At least five years of supervisory experience and a minimum of two years of experience with families, preferably with a homeless population.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• SIFI verification preferred.
